Download the Blackthorn client and start your adventure in our BETA!

Installation Instructions

  1. Download the game client using the button above
  2. Extract the ZIP file to your desired folder
  3. Run BlackthornLauncher.exe to start the game
  4. Create your account and start playing!

Important

  1. If you have downloaded the Blackthorn Client or launcher before, please delete them before downloading the new one

Faster Load Times

  1. To speed up the load time of your DAoC game, you might need to set game1127.dll as a process exception. Follow these steps to add an exception for game1127.dll in Windows Defender:
  2. Open Windows Security by clicking the Windows icon in the bottom left corner and typing "Windows Security".
  3. In the Windows Security window, click on "Virus & threat protection".
  4. Scroll down and click on "Manage settings" under Virus & threat protection settings.
  5. Scroll down to "Exclusions" and click on "Add or remove exclusions".
  6. Select "process".
  7. Type in game1127.dll
  8. Confirm the addition of the file to the exclusions list.
  9. You should now see game1127.dll in the list of excluded files.
