Minstrel Matchups

I heard Minstrel is #1 solo, looking at other classes, what are the tough match ups? Mentalist looks like it could do well versus Minstrel (I could be wrong). I guess it may depend on Minstrel skill with all the things you have to manage; distance, timing, pet.

Animist - Example: Favors Animist (I'm guessing it's just annoying to attack into mushrooms)

against solo healer send pet hold charm. send emote few times if kiting not needed. release pet if he try's something funny, recharm.

Never get close try stay at max range with pet commands and flute works on everything. Knowing what to purge, sos, release pet to not get catch in melee is key. It may be tempting to get close dd/melee but play it safe.

Is it true that Minstrel will receive 75% dam reduction on release?
