Patrolling dragons

The patrolling dragons are classic - I won't ask to remove this, it wont be anyway. However I do feel, if you want to avoid many frustrated people on day 1, 2 and onwards, to have a good look at this.

  1. I feel the interval is to short. I've been running around in Hibernia lately, and in an hour in that zone, I have been nuked 4 times, once i survived somehow when he nuked then continued on.
  2. Is there a prior warning? In any case one solution imo, would be clear and multiple zone warning, for example 3 in a span of 30 seconds
"There is a light rumbling in the distance..."
"The rumbling intensifies and seems all around you"
"You can barely stay up straight, it is as if the world might split in two at any time!"
just an example of an intensifying chat message every 10 seconds prior to the dragon starting a patrol.
  3. The coolest solution, but probably hard or impossible - imagine if prior to his patrol, his route started showing a sort of mist, the ambient sound becomes more urgent, a lower tone, this could be so cool and incredibly obvious to the player that something is about to happen.
  4. A completely different idea, maybe abit weird but kinda cool; give a region message "The dragon is waking up, kneel before it is to late"
You then have 15 seconds to kneel (or /bow, i guess kneel doesnt exist). If you do it in time, he wont consider you as a target when doing his patrol.

As it currently stands, it is a frustrating experience being in the dragonzone, where it could be one of the coolest zones.
PS: i've played in albion dragon zone aswel, and must say i did not experience the dragon appearing this often, but it might have been before it was implemented? not sure. On Hibernia it seems very often

My 2 cents <3

PPS: I went in 5 times the last 2 days, died within 20 minutes max. Last time i was close to the lair. I see a region messages, 3 seconds later he's already flying over my head nuking.

I agree, the current state isn't enjoyable.
I died 95% of the time I entered the Dragon Zones on Alb or Mid to a Dragon Nuke.

The current scripted "flying route" behavior is likely original DOL stuff and might need to be looked at, especially if it was not adjusted for the re-added old dragon zones. There are also still mob spawns (mostly flies) on the hills that are now inaccessible, so I'd assume the Dragon script itself has not been adjusted either.

Any change that improves survivability, reduces the frequency of dragon rounds, and makes the zone more enjoyable and useful would be appreciated.
heard through grapevines that he only patrols the afternoon (12:00-18:00) but also not a fact and confirmed:

in this example, i saw the message, about a minute or less later he was over my head at point one, nuked me i survived.
About 3 minutes later i was at point 2, he was there AGAIN nuked and killed me.

I dont know whats going on, if its a Hibernia only issue, but this is just really no fun
