In regards to the AutoHotKey policy

So this is somewhat of an edgecase I was wondering about. Currently I am using a keypad for my left hand called an Azeron Cyborg. It requires software to configure and I am using a software called Antimicrox. It is capable of basically anything that any macro software can do. I know about the ban on AHK and that macros, delays, scripts and so on are not allowed and that makes sense. However, I was wondering if a change in policy or an exception could be made for the following scenario:

I mainly just have one keystroke per input in alignment with your policy, with one exception. To use hotbars 2 and 3 you're required to hold a modifier key (ALT and CTRL). As far as I know (and feel free to correct me if I am wrong) you can not change the keybind for these so you'll have to press and hold ALT or CTRL plus the corresponding number key to use these hotbar shortcuts. What I do is set up a macro so that ALT or CTRL is automatically held for the buttons that I configure to these two hotbars. It is technically two inputs per keystroke, but it is only one action per keystroke. It just makes hotbar 2 and 3 function exactly like hotbar 1 and gives you no advantage whatsoever. It just removes the tedium of having to press and hold that modifier key and I hate unnecessary tedium.

I could lie and say this is due to accessibility reasons for me but it is not, I just really really dislike needless tedium as I explained. It would however certainly be helpful for people with arthritic or other joint issues. And like I said, it offers no advantages, at least none I can think of.

So my request is to change the policy from "one keystroke equals one input" to "one keystroke equals one action". I think that would cover all scenarios you want while still allowing for this case. Or if you could make an exception to the rule for modifier keys. Or just an inofficial statement that you will not ban anyone for doing this with modifier keys.

I love the work you've been doing and I've been happy to contribute in what ways I can, but if this policy stays intact with no exceptions or inofficial statements I will be forced to give the release a miss as I don't want to get banned. It might sound silly, but this matters that much to me. Regardless of what your response is, if any, I wholeheartedly wish for this project's success even if I can't play it.
Well, looks like there actually is a command to rebind hotbar keys. I had no idea about /qbind. So I guess crisis averted and drama over. Now I can play legit without risk of banning (I hope). So if anyone else is in the same pickle where you need to rebind hotbar keys, just use /qbind and follow the instructions. Not the most intuitive of tools and pretty confusing, but does the job. It's per character though, so you need to run it on every character or copy parts of the character .ini file to your other characters' ini files (or the whole file and rename it I guess).

Glad you got it sorted! :D

What you described above would be considered illegal.
