Endgame Frontier drops for Melee Classes need Utility increase to be viable for templating

Many melee class items have utility too low to be viable for reasonable templating or useful for reforging.
Compared to the inflated utility on caster centered items the melee classes have barely ANY armor or weapons outside of endgame boss DF, Dragon and SH drops that can compete with crafted utility and flexibility.

For weapons this isn't that much of an issue because they are primarily selected for swing-speed and proc, but for armor this means that crafted will always be the better option and drop helmets/gloves/sleeves/pants/boots will pretty much never be used with a few notable exception of outlier drops from endgame bosses.

Most melee armor pieces cap at under 60 utility, but many classes require a 60+ utility item to be able to cap a template. This means all the armor pieces are trash loot when it comes to templating. The torso will be used for the superior heal proc, take an essential crafted charge (mana) for RvR and then the 2nd weapon slot can take a second crafted charge of your choice and you are all set.

I have unlocked ALL endgame item drops for all realms and planned templates for every class and I have used 0 drop armor pieces other than torso for the heal proc.

If you can access player-created templates, have a look at my template list or give me a way to share them with you without publishing all-cap template for all classes, and it should become pretty clear that some utility adjustments are needed.

EDIT: I am specifically NOT talking about melee class jewelry, which is not an issue. There is plenty of options that work. Here the caster centric loot is the issue, where utility is inflated by massive power stats, leading to 90% of the first 15 jewlery items in each category being caster items, who only need ~45utility on average on each item to create an all cap template and will never need a 65 utility ring.

EDIT2: Increasing utility on jewelry drops in the Alb and Mid FZ would create some competition for the high utility Hib FZ items that are currently by far BIS outside of endgame raid content.
Hey, thanks, fair points.

We'll look into this but the utility on the armor is unlikely to change across the board. At least for now. The feedback about bringing Alb and Mid up to par with Hib is fair and we aim to rectify that before launch.

Appreciate it. Added variety will be good for templating and frontier farming activity.
