Taskmaster System
The Taskmaster System is a dynamic RvR system that offers unique objectives when action in Old Frontiers is low.
Overview
The Taskmaster system creates a central action point in one of the Primary RvR zones (Emain Macha / Hadrian’s Wall / Odin’s Gate). Players of all levels, all realms and all group sizes may interact with the Taskmaster to obtain a task. The player is free to decide how he completes it, choosing from a wide array of options.

Spawn Conditions
The Taskmaster appears in one Primary Zone (Emain Macha, Hadrian’s Wall or Odin’s Gate) when specific strategic conditions are met.
He remains there until he despawns due to a shift in player activity and thus a shift in Active zones in one of the realms, or a shift in keep control dominance.
Spawn Requirements
- All Primary Zones Active: Albion, Midgard, and Hibernia can use dynamic home realm porting to their Primary Zones
- 15-Minute Delay: After all primary zones become active, there's a 15-minute waiting period before the Taskmaster arrives.
- Keep Control: The Taskmaster spawns for the realm controlling the most keeps in Old Frontiers
For example:
All Primary Zones have become active and Midgard has the most keeps. This means that the Taskmaster will spawn in Odin’s Gate after 15 minute, unless another realm manages to control more keeps in the meantime.
Spawn Locations
The Taskmaster appears at the iconic tower structures in the Primary Zones:

Example Messages:
- "Intel: A lone enemy has been sighted in the taskmaster area!"
- "Intel: A small group of enemies has been sighted in the taskmaster area!"
- "Intel: A medium sized group of enemies has been sighted in the taskmaster area!"

Rewards
Task Completion Rewards
Upon completing a task (reaching 100 points):
- Experience Points: 200% of full frontier participation reward (level-scaled)
- Realm Points: Double the standard frontier participation RP reward
- Passive Realm Benefit: Other realm members receive 25 contribution points
Bounty Point Conversion
The Taskmaster also serves as a bounty point exchange:
- Gold Conversion: 100 gold per bounty point
- Realm Point Conversion: 1 RP per 10 bounty points
- Automatic Calculation: Conversion rates applied to your total bounty point pool
Strategic Mechanics
Realm Dominance
- The Taskmaster only spawns in the realm with the most keeps in possession
- If max keep ownership shifts, the Taskmaster despawns and may respawn for the new dominant realm
- Tied keep control results in random selection among tied realms
Task Restrictions
- Fair Fight Focus: Cannot earn player kill points when outnumbering opponents
- Regional Requirement: Must be in the same region as the Taskmaster to earn points
Despawn Conditions
The Taskmaster will despawn if:
- Any primary zone becomes inactive
- No realm controls any keeps in Old Frontiers
- Realm control shifts to a different realm
Tips for Success
Task Selection Strategy
- Solo Players: Focus on named mob hunting and opportunistic PvP
- Small Groups: Balance guard clearing with player hunting
- Medium Groups: Coordinate guard assaults and mob clearing
- Large Groups: Focus on keep assaults and organized PvP
Utilizing Intelligence
- Use area intel to plan approaches and avoid/seek combat
- Intel reports help coordinate with realm mates
- Time your activities around enemy movement patterns
Bounty Point Management
- Regularly check your bounty point accumulation
- Consider conversion timing based on your needs (immediate gold vs. long-term RP)
- Use the Taskmaster as a central hub for reward collection
Team Coordination
Passive Realm Benefits
When you complete a task, all other realm members who have previously completed tasks receive:
- 25 Contribution Points toward their frontier participation
- Realm-wide Progress: Your success benefits the entire realm war effort
Group Dynamics
- Group members share task progress for most objectives
- Task difficulty scales with group size at acceptance time
- Changing group size after acceptance doesn't affect task parameters
