Blackthorn’s Task System is designed to encourage adventure across the world rather than keeping players locked into a prescriptive leveling path. As you hunt, you'll receive tasks that challenge you to hunt increasingly powerful tiers of enemies across a variety of mob types. The goal is simple: progression, exploration, and players working together.
How it Works
Type
/bttask to open the task window. 
Task tiers will automatically appear in your task window after you slay monsters of that type for the first time. It may appear empty or sparsely populated at first, but we currently have over 50+ types of mob tiers that can be unlocked and tasked up.
Tiers will increase required mob kills:
- Tier 1: 10 kills
- Tier 2: 20 kills
- Tier 3: 40 kills
- Tier 4: 80 kills
- Tier 5: 160 kills
- Tier 6: 320 kills
- Tier 7: 640 kills
When you complete a tier, you will earn significant experience.
Other location and objective-based tiers, such as “Kill Mobs in a Frontier” or “Kill Mobs in a Dungeon” will be available as well.
Requirements for Credit
Mob level
- Solo players: blue+ con mobs will count
- Groups of 2-4 players: yellow+ con mobs will count (checked against the highest level player in the group)
- Group sizes of 5-8 players: orange+ con mobs will count (checked against the highest level player in the group)
Range
Players must be within 3800 range of the killed mob to receive credit for the kill
Group Sizes
Task System works for solos and groups of up to 8. Players in a battlegroup will NOT receive any Task System credit.
Daily Reset
The Task System will reset daily at 4:00 AM UTC (all tiers will be reset to level 1)
