Overview
The Thidranki Participation System rewards active battleground participants with periodic bonuses based on their contribution to the ongoing conflict. This system ensures that all forms of combat participation are recognized and rewarded, encouraging diverse playstyles and continuous engagement.
How Participation Works
Contribution Points
Players earn contribution points through various battlefield activities. These points accumulate over time and determine the size of your periodic rewards.
Action | Contribution Points |
Kill enemy player | 20 |
Kill Keep Lord | 50 |
Kill guard | 5 |
Kill mob | 2 |
Die to enemy player | 10 |
Die to guard | 3 |
Reward Intervals
- Rewards are distributed every 5 minutes
- After each reward distribution, your contribution points are reduced by 50%
- Maximum contribution points: 100
- Players at maximum contribution receive a 50 point bonus before decay
Reward Tiers
Rewards scale based on both your contribution points and character level:
Contribution Points | Reward Percentage |
90-100 | 100% of base reward |
75-89 | 80% of base reward |
50-74 | 65% of base reward |
35-49 | 40% of base reward |
10-34 | 20% of base reward |
1-9 | 10% of base reward |
Base Reward Calculation
Experience Points:
- Formula:
30% of level's experience requirement × (1 - Level/100)
- Lower level characters receive proportionally more experience
Realm Points:
- Formula:
300 × (Character Level / 35)
- Level 35 characters receive the full 300 RP base
Gold:
- Formula:
20g × (Character Level / 35)
- Includes random silver and copper amounts
Strategic Considerations
Maximizing Rewards
- Consistent Activity: The decay system rewards continuous participation over sporadic bursts
- Diverse Combat: Mix different activities to maintain high contribution levels
- Death Contribution: Even dying to players provides contribution points, encouraging risk-taking
- Full Participation Bonus: Reaching 100 points before a tick grants bonus points
Contribution Decay
- All contribution points are halved after each reward distribution
- Kill counters reset after each distribution
- This prevents indefinite accumulation and encourages ongoing activity
Important Notes
Zone Requirements
- Only active while in Thidranki
- Leaving the zone does not reset your contribution
- Points continue to decay even when offline
Group Participation
- Contribution is individual, not shared among group members
- Each player must actively participate to earn points
Notification System
- Contribution gains display in the Important chat channel
- Current total shown after each contribution event
- Reward notifications appear after each distribution
Example Scenarios
Scenario 1: Active Fighter
- Kills 3 players (60 points) + 2 guards (10 points) = 70 points
- Receives 65% of base rewards at next tick
- After decay: 35 points remain for next interval
Scenario 2: Maximum Participation
- Accumulates 100 points through various activities
- Receives 150 points total (100 + 50 bonus)
- Full rewards distributed
- After decay: 75 points remain
Scenario 3: Casual Participant
- Kills 1 mob (2 points) + dies to player (10 points) = 12 points
- Receives 20% of base rewards
- After decay: 6 points remain
Tips for Success
- Stay Active: The system rewards consistent battlefield presence
- Target Variety: Mix player kills with objective-based combat
- Don't Fear Death: Dying to players contributes to your participation
- Maintain Momentum: High contribution levels are easier to maintain than rebuild
