Overview
The Buff Potion system provides character enhancement through alchemist-crafted potions. This system replaces traditional charge-based buffing with a strategic and carefully-balanced potion-based approach. Our goal is to create meaningful choices in character optimization while preventing excessive buff stacking or obligatory charge-item-hunting.

Subsistence Exception
Subsistence potions (full buff barrels) count as 1 main buff charge regardless of how many individual effects they provide, but has weaker values overall.
Main Buff Categories
Dual/Spec Stat Potions
- Strength/Constitution: 50-75 value enhancement
- Dexterity/Quickness: 50-75 value enhancement
- Acuity: 50-75 value enhancement
Single Stat Potions
- Individual Stats (Strength, Constitution, Dexterity): 30-45 value enhancement
Subsistence Potions
- Full Buff Barrels: Multiple stat buffs simultaneously, counts as single main buff charge

Armor Factor Enhancement
- Regular and Strong variants available
Combat Speed Enhancement
- Haste Potions: Multiple tiers affecting melee speed
Regeneration Enhancement
- Health Regeneration: Increases passive health recovery
- Endurance Regeneration: Blue and Yellow variants provide Long Wind bonuses
- Power Regeneration: Increases mana recovery for casters
Duration and Usage
Duration System
- Standard Duration: 20 minutes
- Refresh Capability: Can extend to 30-minute maximum
- Refresh Example: 7 minutes remaining + new potion = 27 minutes total

Usage Rules
Buff Potions
- Not usable in combat, no cooldown
Instant Healing/Endurance/Power Potions
- Usable in combat, 180-second cooldown
Regular Healing/Endurance/Power Potions
- Usable in combat, 3-second restriction after use, 60-second cooldown
Strategic Combinations
Main Buff Options
- 1 Dual/Spec stat potion + Subsistence (the expected most common choice)
- 1 Dual/Spec stat + 1 Single stat potion
- 2 Different Single stat potions
- 1 Single stat potion + Subsistence
Secondary Optimization
- Combine AF and Haste for melee effectiveness
- Select regeneration potions based on class needs
